Welcome to today’s Fusion Card Challenge! Thank you to all who joined us for our second week of creativity – I absolutely LOVE seeing your creations in the links gallery! So very inspiring. 😉
Here is our challenge for this third week:
Remember: You can use either the sketch, or the inspiration photo, or you can make Fusion instead with both sides of the challenge.
I struggled with this one for a little bit, too, but eventually settled on this:
My mind went in several different directions for this one, but in the end, I was drawn to the black and white stripes and the pops of fuschia in the pillows. I layered strips of white and black cardstock for the stripes, including a little strip of scalloped gray cardstock on the left side to bring in the gray from the photo.
This is the first time I have used my PTI Funky Florals stamp set. I spritzed them with some glitter spray for a little sparkle, which you cannot discern at all from these photos. I stamped off some black ink first to achieve the gray for the flower centers. Also being used for the first time are a couple of Fancy Flourishes dies for the gray flourishes in the background. Just a trio of little rhinestones for bling on this one, since I didn’t really want to add more to compete with the big modern flowers.
Please stop by to see what the rest of the Fusion Design Team have created and to see the details for this challenge. I hope you’ll participate with us!
I am sad to report that Kay Miller is no longer on the Fusion team, but happy to report that Stacey Schafer has joined us to fill the spot. Please stop by and welcome her to the team!
