We have had the week off from lessons, and I had great plans to create a bunch of cards. But I found myself being distracted over and over again by home organizing projects instead. So, once again, it’s been terribly silent all week here at the blog.
I do have something for this week’s Fusion Card Challenge, though. Here are the challenge elements:
Upon first seeing this inspiration photo, I immediately thought of Love Lives Here. My thoughts were along the lines of ‘happy home’ for a newly engaged or wedded couple. So, this is where my creativity led me:
I created a row of homes, with one ‘happy home’ standing out from the others by stamping it in light blue similar to the photo’s color and then giving it a little pop with a red heart. The 3 white homes were embossed with the Wood Grain impression plate, and all of the homes were adhered with foam adhesive.
The card base is Classic Kraft, and the Rustic White mat layer was embossed with the Linen/Canvas impression plate and then stitched and distressed around the perimeter after I added a strip of Soft Stone cardstock to it. I zig-zag stitched across the edges of the Soft Stone cardstock for some slight contrast. The sentiments – from PTI’s Happily Ever After stamp set – were stamped using CTMH Slate ink. The rhinestones are because I thought a wedding/engagement card should have a bit of happy bling on it.
Please stop by to see what the rest of the Fusion Design Team have created and to see the details for this challenge. I hope you’ll participate with us!
Thanks for stopping by today. 😉
