Copic Marker Class Day 8 – Card 2

Here is the next card I created using a practice image from class:

BDAY-039-01The image – from Clearly Besotted Stamps’ Happy Everything set – is spritzed with a little glitter spray.¬† The sentiment is from Annabelle Stamps’ Fanciful Flowers set.

BDAY-039-4in1Thanks for stopping by today. ūüėČ

Feeling a little bit bold and bright, I grabbed a few bold and bright Copic markers to color a few Hero Arts butterfly images, and then I created a few simple cards with them.

The above two cards feature sentiments from the Fanciful Flowers stamp set by Annabelle Stamps.

This sentiment is from My Favorite Things’ On The Line stamp set.¬† I added a bit of Wink of Stella glitter marker to the little circle spots on all the wings.

I think I will add the first card to this week’s Seize the Birthday gallery, as well, and¬†also to the Muse Challenge #36.

Coloring on Kraft

On our previously-mentioned vacation, I specifically took some images stamped onto kraft cardstock in order to practice coloring with my Prismacolor pencils.  I had seen some of these around blogland and loved the look of the colors on kraft.

Here are two cards created with two different images I completed:

This lovely image is from the Standing Tall stamp set by Annabelle Stamps, and the sentiment is¬†from Papertrey Ink’s Boutique Borders – Birthday set.¬† I tried to fit this card into the Retro Sketches #82 design,¬†hope you can see it there.¬† I think I’ll submit it to this week’s¬†Seize the Birthday, also.

The image on this card is from the Wildflowers stamp set by The Craft’s Meow, and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink’s Think Big series.¬† And I think I’ll throw this one into the ColourQ #208 challenge as well.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you all have a great weekend!

Mojo Monday 300

We had a fun day yesterday.¬† It ended up being just a few people from my extended family at the gathering, which made for a rather quiet, relaxing picnic.¬† We’re off today for a hot-air-balloon festival (bright and early again!), and then Monsters University¬†in the theater.¬† We’re not often lucky enough to talk Hubby into taking time off from work, so this is a real treat for us to have a 4-day weekend with him!¬† I just hope we can make up a little bit for the consecutive early-morning wake-up times over the weekend…

I had a fun time ‘guesting’ for Clearly Besotted Stamps, and I appreciate all the comments left here on my blog – ya’ll are so sweet!¬† Thank you so much. ūüėČ

I wanted to enter the Mojo Monday #300 celebration, so I sneaked in a few minutes Wednesday between making cupcakes and fruit salad for our Holiday picnic and doing the laundry and such in order to create something.

The Mojo Monday sketches usually make me think in terms of multiple layers, which I’m not always great at doing.¬† So I came into this sketch with the specific intent of making it my own, in my own little style.¬† So I went white and simple with a pop of color, and this card is the result:

I used my new AnnaBelle Stamps border die in place of the background panel, and I kept it to one element (big ol’ Copic-colored butterfly) in place of the circle group of elements on the right side.¬† The butterfly is from my stash, and this is the first time I’ve used the border die, so YAY for using neglected supplies!

Can you still see the sketch in this simple interpretation of it??

Hopefully it’s not too far off base.¬† Whatever it is, though, it feels like it’s definitely my style.

Thanks for stopping by today. ūüėȬ† Happy Weekend, everyone!!
