AnniVERVEsary Card Carnival

I squeezed in one last card today for the Verve festivities!

I recently purchased the Practically Perfect stamp set.  The little bunnies in this set have been calling my name every day since they arrived last week!  So I made this card for my one and only entry in the Card Carnival:

I know that my Copic coloring leaves much to be desired!  I’m hoping to get a little practice in next week while I am a captive audience. 😉

Thanks for stopping by today.  That’ll do it for me this week.  See you on the other side! 😉

AnniVERVEsary Day 5 Challenge

Things are starting to pick up today, so this may be the last project I have for the AnniVERVEsary festivities.  I was hoping to have a card or two to enter into the Card Carnival, but it’s not looking hopeful at this point. :-S

Anyway, here is my project for the Day 5 Challenge, to create Anything But a Card:

I absolutely LOVE this Verve bloom!  I just grabbed some colors and stamps and dies as I went, so I’m glad this turned out fairly decent.

Sorry to post and run, but I am supposed to bring a salad to the neighborhood pool party tonight, and I don’t think it will be ready if I don’t get down to business!

Thanks for stopping by today. 😉

AnniVERVEsary Day 4 Challenge with Color Throwdown

I’m so happy to have these Verve anniversary challenges, because I’ve purchased quite a few new Verve stamps lately, and it has been fun to open new sets and give them a go.

Here is a card for the AnniVERVEsary Day 4 challenge – which is to make a clean and simple card – also utilizing the Color Throwdown #205 colors:

The new sets I used here are the Many Blessings set and the Words Cannot Express set.

The good news today is that Hubby is feeling well enough to get back to work, so things are looking up, and I am grateful.  Thank you for all your well wishes for him!

Thanks for stopping by today. 😉

AnniVERVEsary Day 3 Challenge

Back today with a card for the AnniVERVEsary Day 3 Challenge, which is a sketch.

No challenge colors associated with this card, just picked some papers while shuffling through my stash for inspiration.

This is short today.  I have a Hubby who is home from work not feeling well, and for some strange reason, the housekeeping always seems to double when illness is present.  I’m hoping he will recuperate quickly, though, so our plans for next week won’t be spoiled!

Thanks for stopping by today. 😉

AnniVERVEsary Day 2 Challenge

Wow, how often do you see two posts in one day from me?!

We’re on a bit of a ‘break’ from… well, just about everything right now!  So I am using a little time to play along with some challenges this week.  Have to be a bit picky, though, because we still have big plans next week that require some planning and organization and such.  But if I can help it, I don’t want to miss this week of Verve fun!

This card is for the Day 2 Challenge on the Verve forum at SCS – to use wood or silver on an anniversary card:

I went with silver, since I had some gorgeous pearlized papers from The Paper Studio that I’ve wanted to use.  I purchased this pack at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago, and this stuff is so, so pretty!  I think I could make a million wedding cards with all these gorgeous papers!

Anyway.  I used my Love Story stamp set for this card, along with another silver charm and some rhinestones.  The main panel is matted onto a block of silver metallic cardstock from my stash.  The little red heart, though, is from the Hearts on Fire stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today. 😉

AnniVERVEsary Day 1 Challenge

I went to the dentist this morning to have some work done (BAH!!) and to try to ‘detox’ and recuperate from that, I made a card for the Day 1 Challenge from Verve’s SCS forum, for the AnniVERVEsary celebrations this month.  The challenge is to use the colors green, pink, and brown.

Here is what I managed to create with a numb face and a ‘Novocaine headache’:

Used some of my Wal-mart DP’s (Colorbok brand) for this one.  And I told you it would be difficult for me to put this stamp down!  I just love it, love it, love it!  I apologize, in advance, for how bored of it you will be in the future. 😉

I also used this week’s Mojo Monday sketch (#254).  I am amazed at how much easier it is to use a sketch challenge when I don’t try to overthink it!

(Maybe that’s just thanks to the Novocaine, though… haha.)

Entries aren’t due until August 24th (in case you were thinking of playing along!), but I’m trying to stay on top of things this week since I won’t be available much next week.  (frowny face)

Thanks for stopping by today. 😉
