Blocks With Flowers

Two last little miscellaneous cards, before I potentially drop off the face of the crafty earth again.  No challenges for these, just freestyle creativity.

I took a couple of my pre-colored images and tried the blocking that I’ve seen and loved on other cards around blogland.

More Happy Birthday

Well, I was so disappointed about missing the mark with the Color Throwdown #250 colors, I had to try again, this time using CASE This Sketch #36.  I am also submitting this into the Clearly Besotted Challenge #2 for ‘Seeing Spots’, and also Seize the Birthday’s Anything Goes Birthday Challenge.  Four challenges in one pop – Wow!  Write that down.

Stephanie originally sent me 4 stamp sets to use during my guest DT spot last week, but she ended up using one of the sets for the June release instead.  So even though it wasn’t part of the release for which I was participating, I wanted to use some of the stamps from that set – Make A Wish – to give them a little more exposure. 😉

Aren’t those polka-dot balloons too cute?!  I’ve tried over the past few months to find some balloon stamps that suit my style, and the balloons in this stamp set definitely suit my style.  This card has polka-dot balloons, a polka-dot-impressed background, spots around the scallop circle, and some sparkly bling spots.

And some STRIPES in the middle – Haha!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. 😉

Love Quotes – Clearly Besotted Stamps

We are off to celebrate Independence Day with my Dad and Grandpa in a few hours – parade, picnic lunch, and fun!  Four generations of family for this event – how awesome is that?!  And a wonderful Holiday to celebrate – I’m so grateful for this land of freedom in which I am blessed to live!  Let’s just hope I don’t end up with another ‘sunburn of the century’ while being out and about in the sun this time…

But first, I’m introducing a few more new supplies from Clearly Besotted Stamps – a lovely set of stamps and dies called Love Quotes, which will be available for you to purchase on July 6th.

This set has such sweet sentiments and images – I really enjoyed using them.  My only gripe is that I’m wishing I would have used a darker color of ink, because it seems like the beautiful detail of the images got lost in the pastel here!  I just loved this soft color combo, though.  So I guess we’ll go with it!

I created a card and a little birthday tag with these items.

I also pulled in a previous Clearly Besotted Stamps set – Butterfly Wishes – for the tag sentiment.

That’s it for me on the product peeks this week.  Thanks for stopping by today, and over the last two days as well.  And Thank You, Stephanie for giving me the opportunity to help display some of the new products!!  I’ve had a fun time. 😉

Remember that you can find more samples of the new supplies by visiting Stephanie’s blog.

Hoppy Birthday – Clearly Besotted Stamps

First, thank you all so much for your kind comments on yesterday’s post.  I appreciate them! 😉

I’m here today with another peek at some new Clearly Besotted Stamps supplies, a stamp set called Hoppy Birthday, with coordinating dies – Yay!

I don’t always think of creating cards for the boys, especially for the little boys!  But this stamp set makes it MUCH easier for me to whip up something along those lines!  I couldn’t resist using some ‘googly eyes’ for this little Ribb-ster.  I thought the scallop border could mimic a pond of sorts to act as home for this guy and his cute little lily pads.

I had a fun time using these stamps and dies – I’m so ‘hoppy’ to have them on hand now! 😉

Thanks for stopping by today.  Remember that you can find more samples of the new supplies and get more details about the release by visiting Stephanie’s blog.

Home Sweet Home – Clearly Besotted Stamps

This week, I have the honor of being a Guest Designer in helping to introduce a few new supplies from Clearly Besotted Stamps.  I love my Clearly Besotted stamp sets.  They are high quality and are classy and stylish with just enough of a hint of whimsy.

This is my first experience of this sort – designing for a company – so I really had no idea what to expect.  But Stephanie is such a generous and kind soul who made this process oh so very pleasant and painless, and I am beyond thrilled to be a representative for Clearly Besotted Stamps this month!  You will love the new supplies. 😉

Today I have a card for you which features the new Home Sweet Home stamp set and coordinating dies, which will be available for purchase on July 6th.

Aren’t these images adorable?!  I used a stitched rectangle mat die-cut to create a little scene using these supplies.  I always think of sending out ‘New Home’ greeting cards to family and friends when they move, but I rarely think to actually create them…. on time.  This stamp and die collection made for such a quick process, so I really have no more excuses in the future!

You can find more samples using July’s release products by visiting Stephanie’s blog.

Clearly Besotted Challenge #1

I wanted to participate in Stephanie’s first Clearly Besotted Challenge.  I really like the Clearly Besotted stamps, especially the flower stamps – they are so fun to color with Copics!  I specifically wanted to use the water lily from the With Love set, and it fits the challenge theme perfectly – ANY THING GOES!  That kind of theme definitely works for me. 😉

So here is my creation:

I’ve decided that clean and very simple cards also work for me right now.  It makes creative time for me more likely to occur amidst our crazy schedule, so I won’t mess with that.

I colored the image with my Copic markers, spritzed it with some sparkle shimmer spray, fussy cut it, then adhered it to the card with foam adhesive.  There is a True Black mat behind a Smokey Shadow block with wood grain embossing.  The scallop pink at the bottom was created with PTI’s Hearts Border Die.

Thanks for stopping by today. 😉
